Vanur Farmer Producer Company Limited is based out of Thailapuram Village. Our address is No.4/165, right on the Pondy Main Road. Being on the main road makes it easy for the trucks to come and go. We deal with the local produce from the Vanur area. It’s a lot of coordination between the different farms. We aren't a big corporation with hundreds of employees. It’s just a few of us in the office and the farmers who are part of the group. The office is a practical space where we handle the bags and the scale. Thailapuram is a busy little spot because of the road. We get a lot of dust from the traffic, but it’s a good location for business. We spend our time checking the quality of what comes in. It’s a lot of physical work and talking to people. We don't use any fancy marketing terms because we don't need them. The people here know who we are. We just want to make sure the farmers get their due. It’s hard to predict how the season will go. We just take it as it comes. Sometimes the market is good, sometimes it isn't. We try to keep things steady for everyone involved. It’s a simple life, focused on the land and what it produces. No 4/165 is always open when there's work to be done. We just keep our heads down and deal with the crops.
