Vasantham Curled Coir

Vasantham Curled Coir is out at Sf No. 125/25 on Kovilpalayam Road in Kaliappampalayam, near Negamam. This part of the country is famous for its coconut trees, so it makes sense for us to be here. We spend our days working with coir, which is a bit of a messy business but it keeps us busy. The facility is on Kovilpalayam Road, and it’s more of a workshop and storage yard than a fancy office. There is usually the sound of machinery running and the smell of coconut husks in the air. We’ve been part of the Negamam area for quite a while now. It’s a rural setting, which is perfect for what we do. We don't have a big marketing department or a corporate strategy. We just process the coir and get it ready for whoever needs it. Most of the people working here are from the local villages around Kaliappampalayam. We know each other's families and have worked together for years. It’s a hard-working environment, and we don’t try to make it sound like anything other than what it is. If you come by, you’ll see us in our work clothes, probably covered in a bit of dust, just getting through the day's tasks. It isn't easy work, but it is what we do here on Kovilpalayam Road and we’re used to it.
