Raushan Farmers Producer Company Limited

Over in Nalanda, specifically in the Harnaut block, you’ll find our little group. We are based at Plot No-92 in Basti Tola. It’s right in the middle of the village area. We don't have a fancy office with a receptionist. It’s just a spot where we can stack some sacks and keep our records. Raushan is the name we went with, but to everyone around here, we are just the local guys from Panch-Basti. The land in Nalanda is okay, but you have to work it hard to get anything out of it. We spend our days checking the moisture in the soil and hoping the pests stay away. It’s a group of us who have been farming for a long time. We aren't looking for investors or any of those big city things. We just want to be able to buy what we need without having to travel too far or pay too much. The roads here aren't the best, so we try to do as much as we can right here in the Tola. Sometimes the meetings get a bit loud when everyone has a different idea about what to plant next, but we eventually figure it out. It’s a very practical way of living. We don't use marketing talk because we don't have anything to sell to strangers, just our crops to the local mandi. We are just trying to keep the farm going and make sure our families are fed and looked after properly.
