Ashoka Export & Import Vegetables

You can find us on Morcha Road in Begampur. We are part of the Ashok Kumar Vishwanath Company. It’s a busy place, especially in the early mornings when the produce starts arriving. We deal with vegetables of all kinds. Some come from nearby farms and some go much further away. The export and import business is always a bit chaotic. You’re always checking the clocks and the weather. Vegetables don't wait for anyone, so we have to be quick. If a shipment is late, it's a real problem. Our office on Morcha Road is usually filled with the smell of fresh onions or whatever is in season. It’s a noisy street and we’re right in the middle of it. We don't have a fancy corporate structure. We just have people who know how to pick the best produce and how to get it from point A to point B. Sometimes the phones don't stop ringing and everyone is shouting to be heard over the trucks outside. It’s not for everyone, but we enjoy the pace. We've been doing this for years and we've learned a lot about what people want to eat. We don't claim to be the biggest, just a group of people who know their vegetables and how to get them delivered. There’s always something to do, so we don't have much time for sitting around talking about ourselves.
