Ouse Farmers Producer Company Limited

Madhepura is our home, specifically around Bakhari village. Our group is centered in Ward No-04, not far from the Singeshwar area. We called it Ouse Farmers Producer Company, but that’s just a name for the papers. In reality, we are just a bunch of guys who live in Bakhari and spend all our time in the fields. The work is pretty constant. If it’s not planting, it’s weeding or harvesting. We don't have a fancy office space. We mostly use a room in a house to store our stuff and meet up. It’s not very organized in a corporate way, but we know where everything is. The weather here in Madhepura can be tough, especially when the rains are heavy and the fields get flooded. We try to help each other out when that happens. We aren't trying to be the biggest company around. We just want to make sure we can get our hands on some good seeds and maybe save a little money by buying together. There’s no marketing team here. We don't even have a sign on the road. You just have to know where to turn off the main path to find us. We are just simple people who work with our hands and hope for the best each season. It’s a lot of sweat and not much glory, but it’s honest work and we stick to it. That's the way it's been for a long time and we like it.
