Naubatpur Naturence Agri Fed Farmer Producer Company Limited is based in the village of Dhira, which is in the Khajurinaubatpur area near Patna. Kanhai Sharma is the person in charge at the house there. Since we are so close to Patna, things are a bit more active, but we are still very much a village-based setup. We brought the local farmers together to form this company so we could have a bit more say in how our produce is handled. It is not always easy because everyone has their own way of doing things, but we manage to work it out. We spend our days looking at the crops and talking about the weather. Kanhai handles the main coordination from his place. People from Dhira and the nearby spots come over to discuss the prices and which markets are buying. We don't have any shiny brochures or a sales team. We just have our knowledge of the land and the crops we have been growing for years. Sometimes we have to travel a bit to see other farmers or to check out new equipment. The work is steady and it follows the cycle of the seasons. We don't try to be anything we are not. We are just a group of people from Naubatpur trying to make the farming life a little bit more organized for ourselves and our families in the village.
