It is a local operation through and through. We are mostly focused on the daily grind of farming in our part of the world. There are a lot of small farmers around here, and we figured that if we pooled our resources, we might have an easier time of it. Every day is a bit different depending on whether it is planting season or if we are getting ready to sell. We spend a lot of time looking at the sky and worrying about the rain, or lack of it. The work is physically demanding and doesn't leave much time for sitting around, but that is just how life is in the village. We handle our business right from the VPO Bannigogri address without any of those big city frills. It's about seeds, fertilizers, and making sure the crops are healthy enough to sell. We don't have a glossy brochure or a long list of promises. We just have our hands and the land we work on. Sometimes the crops are great and sometimes they aren't, but being part of this group makes the bad years a little easier to handle. It is a practical way to survive and hopefully get ahead a little bit by working together as a single unit.
