Mahanadheshwar Farmer Producer Company Limited

Our group is over in Gouspur Sarsa, which is a small village and tola in the Samastipur area. We run things out of Ramnandan Ray’s place, which most people around here can find pretty easily. It’s a group of us who live and work right here in the village. We aren’t a big company with a tall building or glass windows. We're just people from the local community. Most of our days are spent checking the crops or talking to other farmers in the tola about what’s growing. It gets really busy during the harvest, and that's when you really see everyone coming together to help out. We deal with the usual stuff like seeds and mud and the hot Bihar sun that beats down all afternoon. It’s not always a smooth ride for us. Sometimes the paperwork for the producer company gets confusing and takes up too much time, but we sit down together and figure it out eventually. We don’t have any fancy mission statements or things like that. We just want to make sure the work gets done and the crops grow well so we can feed our families. People in Samastipur know how it is. You wake up early, you go to the field, and you hope for the best. We share what we have and try to help each other when a tractor breaks down or someone needs an extra hand with the bags. It's a plain life, but it's what we know. We've lived in Gouspur Sarsa all our lives.
