Maa Shital Krishi Fed Producer Company Limited

We are just a group of people from Berwan village here in Tharthari. Most of us grew up around these fields in Nalanda, and farming is basically all we’ve ever known. Maa Shital Krishi Fed Producer Company Limited started because we wanted to handle our own business instead of just waiting for others to tell us what to do. It gets hot out here during the harvest, but that’s just how it goes. We spend most of our days out in the dirt, checking on the crops and making sure things are growing okay. The office is right here in Tola Berwan, nothing fancy, just a place for us to meet and talk about the seeds or the water situation in Panch Amera. People here know each other well. We don’t have any big corporate offices with air conditioning. It’s mostly just us sitting around discussing how to get our produce to the market without losing too much money. Sometimes the rain doesn't come when it's supposed to, and we have to figure it out together. That’s why we formed this company. It's about looking out for the families who live on this land. We aren't trying to be some huge international corporation, we just want to make sure the work we do in these fields actually pays off. Every day is different, but the work stays the same. We just keep going.
