Maa Mundeshwari Farmers Producer Company Limited is basically a group of us from around Ledari village. We are located at Shiv Das Bind’s place, which is near the post office in Chotka Amaawan. This is part of the Chand block in Kaimur district. We spent a lot of time thinking about how to work together as farmers in this part of Bihar. It is not a big corporate setup with a lot of fancy furniture. We just use the space we have to organize our farming work. Most of the people here in Kaimur know that the work is hard but the land is decent if you treat it right. We deal with the crops that come from our own fields and those of our neighbors. It is mainly about getting the produce ready and finding where it needs to go. We are often out in the fields rather than sitting behind a desk. If you are looking for us, you just need to head to the village and ask for the Bind house. We don’t have any polished speeches or marketing people. We just focus on the harvest and making sure the business side of the farm is handled. It’s a quiet life here in Ledari, but we stay busy with the seasons. We are just local people trying to make things work for our families and the other farmers in the block. It’s a simple way to do things.
