Janta Sevakarya Farmer Producer Company is over in Akasi, Mokar, at the house of Jagnarayan Singh. We are just a bunch of farmers from the area who wanted to work as a team. It’s a simple idea really. Instead of everyone doing their own thing, we come together to figure out the best way to farm and sell our stuff. Akasi is a small place, so everybody knows what we are doing. We don't have a fancy setup. Our meetings usually happen on a porch or in a small room with a fan. We don't use any corporate talk or big strategies. We just look at the soil and the prices and decide what to plant. It’s practical work. Some days we are out in the sun for hours, and other days we are just sitting around discussing things. We don't have any promotional materials or big signs. If you need us, you just come to Mokar and ask for Jagnarayan Singh’s place. We try to help our members get better seeds and tools without spending too much money. It’s not about making a huge profit, it’s about making sure everyone can keep their farm running. We are just regular people who know a lot about farming and want to keep doing it the right way for our community.
