Our group is Jamunaha Farmer Producer Company Limited and you can find us over at Prahlad Singh’s place, number 294 in Patna Malhipur. It’s right there in the Patna area. We are just a collective of folks who grow things for a living. Most of us have been farming this land for as long as we can remember. It is hard work, no doubt about it. We decided to come together because it makes more sense to buy things in bulk and share the load. Prahlad helps keep us organized. We don't have a flashy storefront or anything like that. It is just a regular house where we meet up to talk about the crops and the weather. Sometimes we sit there for hours just trying to figure out which fertilizer is actually worth the money. Everyone has their own opinion, which makes for some long afternoons. But at the end of the day, we are all neighbors. We want to see the village do well. Farming in Malhipur has its own set of problems, but we manage. We aren't doing this to be famous or anything. We just want to make sure our families are taken care of. It is honest work, and we are proud of what we grow. If you are in the neighborhood, stop by. We are usually around, unless it is harvest time, then we are all out in the mud. It’s just how things are for us.
