We are over in Kakwara, working with fish and the local water bodies. It’s a small operation, mostly just a few of us who know the lakes and ponds around here. Our office isn't much to look at, just a spot in Kakwara where we keep our nets and logs. We spend a lot of time near the water, checking on things. Fishing is what we know best. We decided to form this company to help the local fishermen get a better handle on the market. It’s not an easy job, especially when the weather doesn't cooperate. We have a lot of early mornings. The water can be cold, but you get used to it. We aren't corporate people; we’re just folks who live by the water. There’s a lot of waiting and a lot of hard work involved in what we do. We don't have any big signs or advertisements. People in Kakwara know where we are. We just want to make sure the fish business here stays steady. It’s a quiet life for the most part, until it’s time to harvest. Then everyone is busy. We keep things simple and try not to overcomplicate the business. If you see us by the water, that’s where the real work happens. We’re just local people trying to make a living from what the land and water provide. It's a lot of physical labor but it keeps us going day after day. We’re just a small group doing our thing.
