Independent

Our spot is in Patna, over in the Anandpuri area. We are in the Himadri Apartment building, specifically 42B. It’s on West Boring Canal Road, which is a pretty well-known part of town. We go by the name Independent. It’s a small operation, nothing too big or complicated. We’ve been based out of this apartment for some time now. Patna is a busy city, and being on Boring Canal Road means there is always something going on outside. The apartment is where we get everything done. We don't have a storefront or anything like that. It’s just a workspace. We like being independent because it gives us the chance to work how we want. It’s not a corporate environment at all. We have our desks, some old filing cabinets, and a lot of papers. Sometimes the traffic on the main road is loud, but you get used to it after a while. Most of our neighbors in the building are nice enough. We just try to stay focused on our tasks and keep things moving. It’s a simple life, working out of a residential building in a busy part of Bihar. We don't use any fancy language to describe ourselves. We are just here, doing our thing every day. If you’re looking for 42B, it’s just up the stairs. The balcony has a few plants that we try to keep alive, though the dust from the road makes it hard. We usually have the fan going all day to keep the air moving. It’s just a normal place.
