Our Hdfc office is located at House Number 267/400 in the CDA Colony in Patna. It is actually part of the Mahendra Prasad Singh house, which gives it a bit of a residential feel. Being in a colony means it is a little quieter than the main roads, but you still hear the rickshaws and the distant traffic. Patna is a bustling place, and 800023 is a busy pincode to be in. We have a couple of rooms set up with desks and filing cabinets. The floor is tiled and stays relatively cool even when it is baking outside. We don't have a big sign out front, just a small one to let people know they are in the right spot. The daily routine is pretty standard—sorting through mail, updating records, and answering the phone. Sometimes the neighborhood kids play cricket in the lane outside, and we can hear them through the windows. We drink a lot of chai throughout the day to keep us going. The building itself is sturdy and has that classic Patna architecture. It’s not a modern glass tower; it’s a house that has been turned into a workspace. We like it that way because it feels more personal. Most of the staff live nearby, so we don't have to worry too much about long commutes. It is a practical, no-nonsense setup where we just focus on the tasks at hand until it is time to lock up and go home.
