We are located near the Nawada police station in Arrah. If you find Budhdev Colony, you're pretty much there. Kanhaiya Kumar’s house is where Growing India Bio Technologies Private Limited handles the daily stuff. This part of Bihar stays busy all the time. Our work involves bio technology, which sounds like a lot, but mostly it's just about looking at how plants grow and trying to make them better. Arrah has a lot of history but we are looking at the new ways of doing things with seeds and soil. It isn't a very quiet office because people are always coming by. We have a few rooms set up for the work. The colony is quite crowded sometimes. You have to watch where you park the bike or it might get blocked in. This group started because we saw a gap in how things were being handled locally. It takes a long time to get the results we want. We aren't some massive corporation with a glass building. Instead, we are just a group of people in a regular house trying to figure out the science side of farming. Some days are slow and we just drink tea and look at data. Other days involve running around trying to get samples sorted. It’s hard work and the heat in the summer doesn’t help much. We just stick to what we know and try to stay organized near the Nawada Thana.
