Govt Of Bihar

We have been working out of the Mahnadwi Hostel on the Patna College campus for a good many years now. It is a very busy spot. The Patna University area is always crawling with students and teachers. Our small office represents the Govt Of Bihar right here on the ground. The building is quite old. It shows its age with some cracks and peeling paint, but it has a lot of character. We spend most of our days dealing with stacks of files. Various registration papers come across our desks constantly. It gets incredibly hot in Patna during the summer. The old ceiling fans just move the warm air around, but we get through it. There is nothing very fancy about how we do things. Most of the day is spent sitting at wooden tables. We try to keep everything in some kind of order. Sometimes the power goes out. We just have to wait it out or work by the windows. You can hear the sounds of students shouting and bells ringing all day long. The tea seller just outside the gate is a friend of ours. We usually get a few cups to keep us going through the afternoon. It’s not a polished corporate office. We just handle the administrative work that needs doing for the state. People stop by with all sorts of questions. We do what we can with the records we have on hand. It’s just regular work for everyday folks.
