We are based in the village of Pariharpur, in the Parihar area of Sitamarhi. Janardan Thakur’s place is our main point of contact. This whole area is where we live and work. We started this producer company because we wanted to have a way to organize our farming better. It’s not a big corporate thing. It’s just us, the local farmers. Sitamarhi is a place with a lot of tradition, and farming is at the heart of it. We spend our days in the fields and our evenings talking about what needs to be done next. There’s no big sign outside our door. Most people around here already know who we are. We don't use complicated words or try to sound like we're something we're not. We’re just people who work with the soil. Sometimes the floods are a problem, and sometimes the heat is too much. We just deal with it. We don't have a mission statement or anything like that. We just want to make sure we can sell our produce and keep our farms going. It’s a simple goal. If you’re ever in Tola-Pariharpur, you can find us near Janardan’s house. We’re usually around, either working or just catching up on local news. It’s a hard way to make a living, but it’s what we’ve always done. We don't really know any other way. We just keep our heads down and work. It is what it is.
