Our office is located in Visakhapatnam, specifically in the Naiduthota area near the Vepagunta Post. It is a bit of a distance from the main harbor, but we are still very much tied to the shipping world every day. The address is Dno 8-195. It is a plain building, nothing special to look at if you are just passing by. Inside, we deal with a lot of logistics and coordinating how things get from one place to another. There is a lot of talking on the phone and checking arrival schedules. Vizag is a coastal city, so the air always has that salty feel to it, and things tend to get a bit of rust if you are not careful with the equipment. We have a small staff who have been with us for a long time now. We do not have a big corporate culture or meetings that last for hours on end. We just figure out where the cargo is and where it needs to go next. The office is a bit cramped because of all the ledgers and maps we keep around the room. Sometimes the heavy rains make the roads around Vepagunta a bit messy, which can slow down the trucks. We do not use fancy software for everything; sometimes a simple pen and a large wall calendar work just as well for us. It is a practical way of doing business. We just want to make sure the containers are handled.
