We're based in Basantpur Chainpur, near Sahebganj. Prabhu Kumar's place is where we handle the paperwork. It's mostly just a group of us from around Muzaffarpur trying to get things sorted for the local crops. Farming out here isn't always easy. We spend a lot of time in the fields. Some days it's just about getting the seeds right or dealing with the weather. There’s no big office with fancy desks. We just meet up and talk about what needs doing. It’s a lot of work. The soil around here is good if you treat it right. We're part of the community, just regular people you'd see at the market. Sometimes the rain helps, sometimes it doesn't. We've been doing this for a while now. It feels right to have a name for what we do together. Sahebganj is where most of us grew up. You can find us at the address if you need to talk. We don't have much for fancy words. It's just about the land and the people living on it. Muzaffarpur is home. We keep things simple because that's how life is here. Every season brings something different. We just keep going. Usually, we are out there before the sun is even fully up. It is just the way things are done in this part of Bihar. We don't have big machines, just a few tools and our hands. It's a long day every day. We are just trying to keep the tradition alive.
