Baba Nirmal Das Farmers Producer Companylimited is based out of Ward No-4 in Bhelwa. It’s part of the Gamhariya block in Madhepura. Most people around here know where Bhelwa is, it’s not a very big place but everyone is busy with their land. We decided to put this company together so we could handle our farming business a bit better than we were doing on our own. It gets lonely out in the fields sometimes, so having a group helps. We aren't doing anything fancy, just moving grain and seeds and talking to other farmers. The office isn't much to look at, just a room where we keep the registers and some bags of supplies. Sometimes the power goes out in the middle of the afternoon and we just have to sit outside and wait for it to come back on. We spend a lot of time talking about the soil and whether the monsoon will be good this year. Everyone in the group has their own way of doing things, but we try to agree on the big stuff. It isn’t always easy because everyone has an opinion, but that is how a village works. If you are looking for us, just ask for the place near the post office in Bhelwa. We are usually there unless it’s peak planting season, then everyone is out working. It’s just us farmers trying to stay afloat and keep things moving for our families.
