About Ausefa Handicrafts Producer Company Limited – Agriculture & Farming in Patna
We are a group of people in Mansurchak who make things by hand. Our main contact is Ashik Lal Pandit, and we are based in Ward Number 15. This isn't a factory. It’s people working in their homes or in small workshops around the village. We do various types of handicrafts that have been passed down in our families for generations. It takes a lot of patience to finish even one piece correctly. We decided to form this company so we could sell our work to more people outside of our local area. Before, it was hard to find buyers who would pay a fair price for the time and effort we put in. Now, we try to organize the orders together as a group. We use simple tools and traditional methods. It’s not always perfect, and you can see the handwork in everything we make. That’s just how it is. Sometimes we run out of materials or the weather makes it hard to dry certain items. We meet up at Ashik Lal Pandit’s place to check the finished goods before they are sent off. It’s a quiet life for the most part, focused on the craft itself. We don't have a big marketing budget or a shiny catalog to show off. We just show people what we've made and hope they like the work. It’s about keeping these skills alive and making enough to support our families here in Mansurchak. It’s honest labor and we take our time with it.
