Ater Agro Farmer Producer Company Limited

Down in Gram Kyaripura, we started Ater Agro Farmer Producer Company Limited to help out with the local farming situation. Our main spot is at House Number 34, which is Kuldeep Singh Bhadoriya’s house. It’s pretty easy to find once you get into the village. We aren’t doing anything too complicated; we just wanted a formal way for the farmers in the Ater area to work together. A lot of the time, it is just us sitting around in the afternoon discussing which crops are doing okay and which ones are struggling with the pests this year. The house is usually full of people coming and going, especially during the planting months. We don't have a receptionist or anything like that. You just walk in and ask for whoever is around. Gram Kyaripura is a quiet place most of the time, but it gets busy when there is work to be done in the fields. We handle the paperwork for the group and try to make sure everyone gets a fair shake. Sometimes the electricity goes out and we have to do everything by hand, which is a bit of a pain, but we are used to it by now. It is just a local thing run by local people who have lived here their whole lives. We know the land and we know each other, so it works out for the best without needing much fuss or many rules.
