Asadpur Saidpura Farmer Producer Company Limited is based out of Gopal Kumar’s house. You can find us in the village of Asadpur Saidpura, which is in the Bhagwanpur block of Vaishali. We are a small group of farmers who decided to come together to manage our crops better. Harwanshpur Banthu is the local area we belong to. We don’t have a big office building or any fancy signs. We just use the house as a base to talk about the fields and the harvests. Farming in this part of Bihar takes a lot of effort and the days are long. We are usually busy with the land and don’t have much time for anything else. Being in Vaishali, we have a good community of people who understand the soil. We handle the collection of produce and the logistics of selling it. It’s a very hands-on job and we are all involved in it. We don’t use any corporate language or have a big mission statement. We are just a bunch of neighbors working toward the same goal. It’s a practical setup that works for our needs. We try to keep things simple and honest, focusing on what’s growing in the fields each season.
