Saran is a place where seeds and farming are the main topics of conversation most days. Our spot isn't on a main highway, but deep in the village area where the actual farming happens. It’s a quiet place compared to the big cities, though things pick up during the sowing season. You can hear the sounds of the countryside and the tractors moving in the distance. We keep things simple here. There’s a lot of coming and going of local farmers who need seeds for their fields. Being in Ward 8, everyone knows where Anil Kumar lives, so it’s easy for the locals to drop by and chat about the upcoming season. The air is different here than in Patna; it feels more connected to the ground. We don't have a big reception desk or a shiny sign. It’s just a house and a workspace where we keep the records and the seed stock. Sometimes the road gets a bit muddy when the monsoon hits, but that’s just part of life in rural Bihar.
