Ajivika Orange Producer Company Limited

We are located in Ward No. 15, care of the Jyoti Samudaik Sahyog in the Tilat Colony. Our name, Ajivika Orange, gives you a pretty good idea of what we do. We are a producer company that deals mostly with the orange growers around here. Working out of Tilat Colony is nice because it’s a residential area, so it’s usually quiet enough to get some work done. The office is part of the community center setup. We have a small space where we keep our records and meet with the growers. It’s not a fancy setup with glass partitions. It’s just a room with some chairs and a table where we drink a lot of tea. Most of our time isn't even spent in the office. We are usually out in the orchards checking on the fruit or talking to people about the harvest. Oranges are a big deal for us, and we spend a lot of time worrying about the weather and the transport trucks. We started this because we wanted a way for the local growers to work together. It’s a bit of a struggle sometimes to get everything organized, especially when the harvest all comes at once. We don't have any big marketing plans. We just work with the people we know in the colony and the surrounding wards. It’s a local business run by local people who just want to see the oranges get to market.
