Agriteria Farmers Producer Company Limited

We are based at Manikant Choudhary’s house in Panchnirpur. This is in the Samastipur block. It’s a small village tola, so everyone knows where the house is. Agriteria Farmers Producer Company Limited isn't some big city firm. We are just a group of farmers who decided it was time to work together under one name. The name sounded good, but the work is still the same old farming we’ve always done. We meet up in the courtyard or the front room to discuss what we are going to plant or how we are going to sell the harvest. There are no fancy signs or glossy posters here. Just people who know the soil well. Samastipur has good land, but the market prices go up and down so much it makes your head spin. We try to use this company to get a better handle on that. It’s a lot of talking and a lot of waiting for the right time to move. Sometimes we have to deal with the government paperwork which is always a bit of a mess. We just do our best to keep things moving. We don't have a big staff. It's just us and a few helpers from the village. Life here is slow but the work is constant. We just focus on the crops and making sure our families are taken care of through the company’s work. That's the way it's been for a while.
