Surjit Machine Tools

We are over at 71-A in Sewak Colony, running Surjit Machine Tools. It’s a straightforward setup we’ve got here. The colony is a mix of houses and small businesses, so it’s got a bit of a community feel to it. Our workshop is where we spend nearly all our time. You’ll usually hear the sound of machines as soon as you get close to the gate. We’ve got lathes and other tools all over the place. It’s not the cleanest environment, but it’s a working one. We don't see the point in having a fancy office when the real work happens on the floor. Most of our days are spent taking apart machines or putting them back together. We’ve been doing this for a long time. Some of the guys have been with us since the start. We have a few regulars who stop by for a chat and a tea while we work on their equipment. We don't do much in the way of advertising. Usually, people just hear about us from someone else in the trade. The space is a bit cramped sometimes when we have a big project in, but we make it work. We just keep our tools sharp and our focus on the task at hand. It’s a basic life, but we like the work. There’s something satisfying about fixing a machine that everyone else said was done for.
