Chaju Ram & Sons

Chaju Ram & Sons has been a part of Rajpura for as long as I can remember. We are located in the Village-Neelpur area, which is part of the Rajpura Town. It’s an old place, and our family has lived and worked here for generations. The name on the sign is my grandfather’s name. We do a bit of everything, mostly dealing with general supplies and trade that people in the village need. The building itself is quite old, with thick walls and a big heavy door that we lock up every night. It’s not like those new shops you see in the city with glass fronts. We have wooden counters that have been worn smooth by years of people leaning on them. There’s always a bag of grain or some hardware sitting on the floor waiting to be picked up. People stop by not just to buy things, but also to catch up on the news. Neelpur is a close-knit place, and we know almost everyone who walks through the door. We don't bother with advertising or special offers. People come to us because they’ve always come to us, and they know we’re not going anywhere. It’s a quiet way to run a business, just taking things one day at a time and making sure we have what the neighbors need. Rajpura is changing a lot, but our little corner in Neelpur stays pretty much the same, and we like it that way.
