Our place is on the top floor of S.C.O. 110-111 over in Sector-8C. Being up there gives us a decent view of Madhya Marg, but those stairs are a bit much if the lift acts up. Since we are right near the State Bank of Patiala head office, most people find us without much trouble. Infonet is what we do, which mostly involves staring at screens and dealing with endless cables. It’s rarely a quiet office; the hum of servers and phone conversations about technical issues fill the room. We have been in this part of town for a good while. The carpets are worn in the corners, and the desks are always cluttered with old keyboards and half-empty mugs. We aren't trying to be some big corporate entity. We are just a group of people who understand how to handle data and internet stuff. When things break down, we fix them. That’s the basic rhythm of our day. Lunch usually happens at the desks because something always needs looking at. It gets a bit cramped, especially when a new shipment of hardware arrives. We just make do with the room we have and keep things moving. The traffic noise from Madhya Marg often drifts in through the windows. It’s a busy environment where we just focus on the tasks at hand. Sometimes the power flickers, but we just get back to work as soon as it returns.
