G K Steels is located at 1 New Triple Storey Police Lines in Patiala. Being in Punjab, we deal with the heat in the summer and the cold in the winter, and the building reflects that. It’s a triple-storey setup, so there is a lot of climbing up and down the stairs throughout the shift. You can usually hear the sound of metal being moved around or trucks idling near the entrance. It’s an industrial vibe, nothing fancy. We have grease on the floors and the smell of iron in the air most days. The office part is small, just enough room for a computer and some ledgers. We don’t have a big reception area or anyone to greet you at the door. You just walk in and find someone. Most of us have been working here for years, so we know the routine by heart. The police lines area is fairly well-known, so people don’t usually get lost trying to find us. We have some old posters on the walls and a calendar that is usually a month behind because we forget to flip the page. It’s a practical place for practical work. We aren't trying to impress anyone with the decor. G K Steels is just about getting the steel out and making sure the orders are right.
