The U B Ashram Shala is located out in Dahod. It’s a bit of a journey to get here, but it’s a quiet spot once you arrive. The shala is basically a residential school where the students live and learn together. We have a large yard where everyone gathers for the morning start. The buildings are quite simple, mostly just rooms for sleeping and halls for the classes. We eat our meals together in a big dining space, and the food is just basic local stuff that we can get in Dahod. Life here is very much about the routine. We wake up early, do the chores, and then get into the lessons. There isn't much noise from the city because we are tucked away. The students take care of a lot of the cleaning themselves as part of their daily life. We have a few staff members who stay on-site to look after everything. Sometimes we have visitors from the town, but mostly it’s just us. The weather in Dahod can be tough, very dry and dusty at times, so we spend a lot of time keeping the place tidy. We don't have much in the way of fancy equipment, just the essentials for living and studying. It’s a place for students who need a steady environment to stay in. We just go about our work every day, making sure everyone is fed and the classes are happening as they should. It’s a very grounded way to live and learn.
