Being located in Bali Nehru Colony near the Falna Station means Bhalchandra Agro Products is always in a busy spot. If you’ve ever been to this part of Rajasthan, you know how important the railway is for everything we do. Our building is a simple structure that stays relatively cool even when the sun is beating down outside. We spend our days dealing with various agro products, mostly seeds and grains that come in from the local farmers. The air inside always smells a bit like dry earth and burlap sacks. It’s a private limited company on paper, but in reality, it’s just a group of us who know the local land and what grows best in it. We have a small office with a big heavy safe and a few wooden benches for visitors. Farmers often drop by after they get off the train at Falna Station to talk about the upcoming season or to see what we have in stock. We don’t use any complicated software or big marketing strategies. We just write everything down in big ledgers and keep our promises to the people we work with. The floor is usually covered in a thin layer of dust from the bags being moved around, and the phone rings constantly with people checking prices. It’s a busy, unpolished life, but it’s what we know best here in Bali.
