Renaissance Hotel & Convention Centre

Our office is over at E/601 in the Olympia building, right in Mira Road East. It’s a bit of a trek for some, but it’s where we get all the planning done for the convention centre. The area is always growing, and you can see new buildings coming up every time you look out the window. Inside, it’s mostly just us at our desks dealing with phones and heaps of paperwork for the events. We have people coming in to talk about bookings, and things can get pretty hectic on Monday mornings. The building has that typical Thane feel to it, a bit noisy during the day but quietens down late at night. We’ve been in this spot for a while, so the chai wallah downstairs knows exactly how we like our tea. It isn’t a flashy corporate setup with glass walls everywhere; it’s more of a practical workspace where we focus on getting the details right. Sometimes the printer acts up, or we run out of staplers, just like any other place. We spend a lot of time coordinating between the different halls and making sure everyone knows where they are supposed to be. It’s a lot of coordination, really. We just show up, do the work, and try to make sure things run smoothly for the people using the center. It’s a decent place to work here in 401107.
