Orient Engineers

Orient Engineers is tucked away in the Ajit Industrial Estate. We are at unit 109. Being near the Western Express Highway means there’s a constant hum of traffic in the background. It’s part of Mira Village, which has changed a lot over the years. Our workshop is full of tools and parts. It’s not the kind of place you’d visit in your best clothes. There’s always some bit of machinery being taken apart or put back together. We have a small office space carved out in one corner where the computer and the tea kettle sit. Most of the work happens on the floor. We’ve got a few workers who have been with us since we opened. They know the machines better than anyone. We don’t do a lot of advertising. Most people hear about us through word of mouth. Sometimes a truck gets stuck in the narrow lane leading to the estate, and we have to go out and help guide them in. It’s just part of the daily routine. We work hard, take our breaks when we can, and try to get the orders finished on time. It’s a practical life. We aren't a big corporation with fancy lobbies. We’re just a small engineering outfit doing our thing near the highway. The noise from the road never really stops, but you get used to it after a week or two.
