Metro Die Works

Metro Die Works is tucked away at 45, Phase I, in the Dhuri Industrial Complex 1, over at Waliv Phata on Sativali Road. It’s in Vasai East, a spot where there’s a lot of manufacturing going on. Our place is full of machines for making dies and tools. It’s noisy and smells like metal shavings and coolant most of the time. We aren’t really the type for office suits; we’re usually in our work clothes, probably with some stains on them. We’ve been operating out of this unit for a while, and it’s become like a second home to many of us. We take the blueprints, set the machines, and watch the parts take shape. It takes a lot of patience to get the dies exactly right, but that’s what we do. We don't have a website with big words or anything. Most people find us through word of mouth or by just stopping by the complex. We handle the jobs as they come in. Sometimes we’re backed up, and other times it’s quiet enough to clean the machines properly. It’s just how the industry is. We’re steady, we show up early, and we stay until the pieces are done. That’s the way we’ve always worked here. It isn't complicated, it's just about getting the measurements right and making sure the metal behaves like it is supposed to.
