Mars Engineers And Consultants is located at G / 4 in the Richa Industrial Estate. We are part of the New K.T. Industrial Park, specifically Survey No. 15 in Village-Valiv, out in Vasai East. It is a bit of a journey to get here if you are coming from the city, but it is much quieter than the central areas. We do engineering consulting and some fabrication work. The estate is full of similar small units, so there is always a sense of everyone working hard. Our space is divided into a small office section with a couple of old computers and a larger area for the actual engineering work. There are blueprints taped to the walls and stacks of metal tubes in the corners. We do not have a secretary or anyone to answer the phones, so if we are busy with a tool, the phone might just ring for a bit. We try to call everyone back when we take a break. Most of our work comes from word of mouth. Someone knows someone who had a part made here, and they give us a call. It is a practical way to run things. We do not have a big sign outside, just a small one on the door. The weather gets very humid here, so we have to keep the grease on the machines to stop them from rusting. It is just a regular life for us. We do the work and go home.
