Jesal Park is a busy spot. It’s mostly families around here, and we’ve been in the K-2 building for a good while now. Our place is up on the first floor, flat six. It isn't a huge setup, just enough room for the desks and a few chairs for when people stop by. Manohar spends most of his day here, usually with the fan on full blast because the Mumbai humidity gets pretty rough by midday. You have to climb the stairs, there’s no lift in this wing, but it’s not too many steps. Outside, you can hear the kids playing or the local vendors calling out. We don’t have fancy signs or anything like that. The walls are a bit plain, maybe they need a fresh coat of paint soon. We get our tea from the stall just down the road. Sometimes the internet is slow, and we just have to wait it out. It’s just how things go in Bhayander. We handle what comes in, one thing at a time. It’s a quiet enough corner of Jesal Park once you get inside. Most people who come here are from the neighborhood or found us through someone they know. We don’t do much talking about what we do, we just get to it. It’s been this way for years and we’re used to the rhythm of the place. It is a simple way to live and work and we like it that way.
