Jerin Art Printers

I spend most of my mornings here at Ranavtar Sadan on Cabin Road just trying to get the machines warmed up before the humidity gets too bad. It is a bit loud in here when the printers are going, but we got used to it long ago. Being in Bhayander East means there is always people passing by the shop on their way to the Gandhi Bhavan Road. Sometimes people just walk in to ask for directions or to see if we can print a few pages for school. We have been here at 10/A for a while now and the walls have that old ink smell that never really goes away even if we leave the door open all day. It gets a bit cramped when we have a big order of cards or booklets sitting on the floor waiting to be picked up. My tea guy comes by around eleven and that’s usually when we take a break from the noise. The floor is stained from years of spills and the light flickers a bit in the back corner where we keep the extra paper stock. It is not a fancy place but it is where we do the work. Most days are just about making sure the colors look right and the paper does not jam in the old feeder. We see the same faces every day walking past the window and it feels like we are just part of the street now.
