We are located in Dhanivari, which is near the Charoti area in Dahanu. We are part of the Thane district, and this is where Mahalaxmigad Farmers Producer Company Limited operates. Most of us here are local farmers who grew up in these fields. We decided to get together because farming in Dahanu has its own set of challenges. We grow a variety of things depending on the time of year. By forming this company, we can help each other out with equipment and getting our stuff to the markets. It’s a lot better than trying to do everything on your own. We aren't corporate people. We spend our days out in the dirt, making sure the plants are healthy. Our office is just a simple place in the village. It's where we gather to sort out the logistics. There's no fancy talk here, just practical discussions about crops and weather. We are a tight-knit group and we know everyone in Dhanivari. We just want to make sure our farming stays alive for the kids. It’s a lot of hard work, and we don't always get it right, but we try our best. If you find yourself in the Dahanu area, you’ll see us working the land. We aren't looking for praise, just a way to keep our traditions and our livelihoods going. We just take it as it comes and keep on planting every year without fail.
