Krushivardaini Mahila Farmer Producer Company Limited is a group of women from Manivali village. We are located in the Vada area of Palghar. Our official address is just a house in the village of Manivali. We are all local women who have been farming for most of our lives. We decided to start this company to help ourselves and our neighbors. It is not a polished business with a big budget. We just use a small room in the village to keep our books. Palghar is where we belong. The work is mostly done by hand and we are out in the sun a lot. We don't have any mission statements or fancy slogans. We just want to grow our crops and maybe get a better deal for them. Manivali is a small place and we know everyone here. Being a Mahila company means we are run by the women of the village. It is a bit disorganized at times because we are all so busy with our families and the fields. But we manage to get things done. We don't use any corporate language because that’s not who we are. We are just farmers from Vada. If you come to Manivali, you will see us working. It feels good to have our name and our little company in Palghar. The name is a bit of a mouthful, but we chose it ourselves.
