Disha Computer Institute

We run the Disha Computer Institute up on the first floor of Shanti Shopping Center, in the A Wing. It’s right on Station Road, directly opposite the Mira Road station. Being so close to the station means there’s always people rushing past our door. Our place is at 206, and it’s where we have our computers set up for classes. It’s not a fancy tech hub with the latest gadgets; it’s just a room with some desks and older chairs where people come to learn. We’ve been here for a while, and the shopping center is always busy with all sorts of other shops and offices. We spend our days showing people how to use software or fixing the internet when it goes down unexpectedly. The walls could probably use a new coat of paint, but we’re more focused on making sure the machines are working properly for the students. It’s a practical place. We don’t have a big reception desk or anything. You just walk in and we get to work on the lesson. Most of our students are locals from Mira Road who want to pick up some new skills for a job. It can get a bit hot in there when all the computers are running at once, but we have some fans to keep things moving. It’s just a normal school for computers. We keep it simple.
