Our place is located in At Post Rai, which is right near the Panchayat Office in Dahanu. Being in this part of Thane district means things move a bit differently than they do in the big city. It’s a bit more relaxed, though there is still plenty to do. The office is easy to find if you know where the Panchayat building is. We are in the Maharashtra State area, specifically Pin 401602. It is a simple room with the basics—tables, chairs, and a fan that runs all day during the summer heat. We deal with property matters in the local Taluka. Most of our day involves talking to folks from the nearby villages or checking on land records. It’s honest work and we’ve been part of this community for a while. Sometimes the power goes out for an hour or two, so we just sit outside and talk until it comes back on. It’s not the kind of office you see in movies. There are no glass walls or fancy carpets. Just a practical spot for us to meet people and get the paperwork finished. Living and working out of Dahanu has its own pace. You get to know everyone by name after a few months. We just focus on the tasks at hand and try to stay on top of the local updates. It’s a quiet life but the work keeps us moving. We don't need much more than our desks and a bit of quiet.
