Ankur Hair Saloon

Ankur Hair Saloon is located right in Shop No.02 of the Ashiyana Apartment on Alkapuri Road. Being in Nalasopara East means there is never a dull moment. We are quite close to R K College, so we get a lot of younger guys coming in between their classes. They usually want something specific they saw on the internet, and I do my best to figure it out for them. The shop isn't very big, but it’s comfortable enough for a few people to wait their turn. I’ve spent many years standing on these tiles. My back hurts sometimes by the end of the day, but that’s just the nature of the job. We don’t have a fancy website or a menu of expensive services. You just come in, sit in the chair, and tell me what you need. The Alkapuri Road area is always busy with bikes and people walking to the market. Sometimes the dust from the road gets inside, so I’m always wiping down the counters and mirrors. I like the routine of it all. Opening the lock in the morning, setting out the towels, and waiting for the first customer of the day. It’s a decent life here in Thane. We don't try to be anything we aren't. Just a local saloon where you can get a haircut without any fuss. The neighbors are nice and we all look out for each other’s shops. It feels good to be part of the community.
