Dharmadih Farmer Producer Company Limited is located at Vill. Rajapur Katayan near the Post- Para area. We work out of Shila Devi’s place. It’s a small village setup where everyone knows what everyone else is doing. We started this company because we wanted to have a collective way to manage our farming. Instead of each person struggling on their own, we try to pool our resources. Shila Devi is very helpful with the administrative side of things, keeping the papers in order in her house. Most of our office hours are spent out in the fields or sitting under a tree talking about the rain. We deal with whatever crops are in season. It’s a lot of manual labor, and our hands are usually stained with soil. We don't have any polished brochures or fancy mission statements to show off. We just care about our land and making sure we can feed our families at the end of the day. Sometimes we have meetings where everyone talks at once and it gets a bit chaotic, but we usually figure things out. Para is a nice area, and we’re proud to be part of the community there. We aren't trying to change the world, just trying to make farming a bit more stable for the people in Rajapur Katayan. It’s basic, everyday work for us. We just keep our heads down and hope for a decent harvest.
