We are out at S.No.235 in Bhoom, which is part of the Osmanabad district. It’s a pretty rural area, and our location is basically just a functional spot where we can get our work done. We are a farmer producer company, and we started this because it’s a lot easier to deal with the markets when you’re not alone. Osmanabad can have some harsh weather, so we spend a lot of time talking about how to manage our fields better. Most mornings we are up before the sun to get started on whatever needs doing. Our office isn't much to look at—it’s mostly just a place to keep track of our yields and meet with other members of the group. We don't use any corporate jargon or have big meetings with presentations. We just sit together, maybe have some water or tea, and figure out the logistics for the week. The ground here is tough, and the work can be exhausting, but it’s what we’ve always done. You can see the tractors passing by all day, and there’s always the smell of earth in the air. We don't have any big promises or fancy brochures to show people. We just focus on the day-to-day tasks of farming and making sure everyone in our group gets a fair deal. It’s a very basic operation run by people who actually work the land themselves. We share whatever tools we have, and if someone's tractor breaks down, we all chip in to help get it fixed.
