You’ll find us at H.No 203 in Ekurga, which is part of the Kallam area in Osmanabad. It’s a quiet village where everyone knows what their neighbor is planting. Saptatara was a name we liked, so we stuck it on the paperwork. We aren't trying to be some huge company that you see on the news. We’re just local farmers. The building isn't much to look at, just a regular house where we keep the records and meet up. Usually, there’s a couple of bikes parked outside. Inside, it smells like grain and maybe a bit of old paper. We talk about water a lot because Osmanabad is known for being dry. When the rain comes, everyone is happy, but when it doesn't, we have to sit together and figure out a plan. We try to get better seeds and maybe share the cost of a tractor when someone needs it. It’s practical stuff. We don't have any polished speeches. If you come by, you’ll probably find someone drinking tea and complaining about the latest prices at the mandi. That’s just life here. We’re just trying to make sure the farmers in Ekurga get a slightly better deal than they used to. It's not easy, and we make mistakes sometimes, but we are learning as we go. It’s better than being alone.
