Jaimaharashtra Agro Producer Companylimited

The office for Jaimaharashtra Agro Producer Companylimited is at House Number 736 in Kalpana Nagar, Kalamb. We are basically a group of farmers who wanted to work together instead of competing all the time. Kalamb is where we all live and work, so it made sense to set up something local. We don't have a lot of staff, mostly it's just us taking turns helping out with the admin stuff. The house gets a bit crowded when everyone shows up for a meeting, but we make it work with a few plastic chairs and some tea. Our main goal is just to handle the crops and see if we can get a better price by pooling everything together. It’s not easy work and some days are better than others. We spend a lot of time talking to traders and looking at trucks. Farming is what we know best, so the business part is a learning curve for everyone involved. We don't have any fancy brochures or a big website. People usually just walk over or give us a call if they need something. It feels more like a family than a company most of the time. We try to keep our feet on the ground and just take one day at a time. The work is physical and tiring, but it’s ours. That is pretty much the story of how we started here in Kalpana Nagar.
