Virabhi Farmer Producer Company Limited is run from Pohner. We use the space at Balasaheb Kisanrao Deshmukh’s place. It’s in the Osmanabad district. Osmanabad is a place where you have to work hard to get things to grow. We are a small group and we don't have a fancy office building. We just meet at the house and do our work there. Pohner is a village. Everyone knows everyone else. If you ask for the Virabhi group, people will point you to Balasaheb’s house. We don't have a website or a big advertising budget. We just have our names and our reputation. The work is mostly about coordinating with the other farmers in the Tq. Osmanabad area. We spend a lot of time on the porch talking about the rain and the soil. Sometimes the power goes out and we just sit in the dark and talk. It’s a simple way of doing business. We aren't looking to become a giant company. We just want to help the farmers here in Pohner. We do all the paperwork by hand mostly. It’s a lot of lists and notebooks. The address is just a home, but it’s where all the decisions for Virabhi are made. We work here in our small corner of Maharashtra. It’s real work for local people. That is all there is to it.
