Sukteshwar Agrotech Farmers Producer is run out of Gangadhar Narke’s house, number 186/B in Sukta, which is in Osmanabad. We are right in the heart of the village. It’s a small operation, mostly just us local farmers coming together to see how we can help each other out. Osmanabad can be a dry place, so we spend a lot of time worrying about water. That’s really what started all this. We needed a way to share resources and maybe get some better equipment that none of us could afford on our own. It’s not a fancy business. There are no secretaries or boardrooms. We just sit around on the porch and talk through the problems we are having with our crops. Sometimes we have to drive quite a way just to get basic supplies, so we try to buy things in bulk now. It saves us a bit of time and money. We aren't experts in marketing or anything like that. We are just people who know how to grow things in this specific soil. Sukta is our home, and we want to see the farmers here do well. We take things one day at a time. If the harvest is good, we celebrate a little. If it's bad, we just buckle down and wait for the next season. That is life for us here in Osmanabad. We don't need much, just a fair shake and some decent weather to keep things moving forward.
